Names, names, names

I'm not really sure where to post it, but I have a stupid problem. I want to make a campaign with some, let's say, plot, so I need characters, places, etc. And these things need names. So I'm looking for names. Yup, I could just take some random hero "Proper Names" or rip off something, but I'm looking for some good, original names. Also, I would like these names to fit the named hero's race, or race living in the named country.

Try searching the internet or thinking of a personality for a character and devising a name from that. The problem is that unique names generally are not even pronounced as you intended and can often annoy people do to their complexity.

It can even be the case that having a name like "Mr. Smith" can be more remerable than something like "Undoka Prononce".

Oh, of course by "cool name" I don't mean "name with lots of X, V and Q" and i don't like surnames like "Doin-sumthin-cewl" (Lightbringer/Stormrage etc, etc).
