Naga Attack, Way to blurry, you can just create a simple trident instead of making a blurry weapon that looks like its moving quickly. Naga Attack Ground, I get the idea behind this but i feel like its kind of confusing.. Maybe make something like...

Naga Attack Ground, I get the idea behind this but i feel like its kind of confusing.. Maybe make something like this, but instead make it water being launched in the air hitting the ground..

Naga Cancel, Seems fine but could be looking more like water.

Naga Hero Skill, A cool concept but i feel like its confusing for a hero skill icon..

Naga Hold Position, Blurry and confusing on what it exactly is.. Please try to clear it up or make it more visible.

Naga Move, I get its a fin moving but it is blurry and hard to make out.. please define it better.

Naga Patrol, I can see that they are Koi but again, its hard to figure it out.. please define them better so the details are there as they are blurry again.. Also, Maybe not use a full colored background for it and instead just use a glow around the 2 Koi.

Naga Stop, The object is off center of the icon and needs to be positioned in so its in the "center" of the icon and not off to the side.

I'm gonna save you the wait, I'm not doing this. I'm happy with the icons as they are and I don't think following your advice would make them look better. I truly don't understand how you're 'confused' by crossed blades (of the shape that Naga Sirens use) symbolising hold position. The hero skill one I'll give you but I couldn't find an organic underwater way to do the usual equilateral cross, and this was more interesting. For move, 'I get that it's a fin moving but -' ok so you do understand it from seeing it.

You say the cancel one could look more like water, but in the other watery ones there's too much blur and there shouldn't be a coloured background for patrol? A glow around the koi would break the style of the icons being realistically underwater.

I actually used the blur so they would match command buttons, like the move fin resembling an arrow rather than a defined fish tail. I didn't want the eye to get too distracted by crisp details and instead focus on the shape.

Along with pretty much everything I make, this is for a personal project and I share it here so others can use it and it's not just kept to myself. If you think they should be different, you're welcome to edit them yourself.

If you dont wish to edit these to make them somewhat better/approvable then so be it.

This is my job, and your going to get criticism if things are not up to approvable standards..

These all need to be positioned and defined better to the eye of the downloader not just yourself.. Yes, your able to tell what it is because you are the creator of them..Not, saying others can.

What's 'better' is extremely subjective. This is art after all. The standards you speak of are yours, not mine. Every downloader is different, and your view doesn't represent that of everyone who might download it. Not bashing you for doing your job, I'm just rejecting the advice you offered because I don't agree with it. You criticise, fine, but what the artist does with that criticism is still their choice.

Your last point on creator POV bias is a legitimately good one. Still, I think audiences need to get better at visual reading and interpreting stylisation and complexity.

Im very confused as i feel like your using this as a diversion/tactic to not update nor edit the material. So lets hear your advice then.

What would you say needs to be edit or re-done when seeing these icons at first glance?

Diversion? Tactic? I simply gave my honest opinion. And I don't have advice, because I don't think anything needs to be edited or redone when I see these icons. That's why I uploaded them, because I felt they were done to the best of my ability and I could not improve upon them. Though as you pointed out, I can't see them at a first glance because I made them.

You're talking about 'updating' and 'editing' my icons to your specifications as if it's an inevitability that I am trying to avoid, rather than your subjective standards that I have simply chosen not to attempt to meet.

No wonder you're confused if that's your mindset. And you think I'm the one being unclear!

This might be hard to believe but I don't want to argue. I'm here to share my work. I'm not changing these, not only because of the reasons I've stated above, but also because I don't want to. You said why you think I should, and I chose to reject that. That's all there is to it. I appreciate that you give me criticism. It is my choice if I take it on board, and how to do so.

For what its worth, I actually made my first set of Naga command buttons over a year ago, and these are updates of those, now that I have acquired new skills and more experience. That is why and when I update and edit my work. When I look at them and think 'I can do better'. And I don't think that what you recommended would make my icons better. There is no diversion. I'm telling you straight up I don't intend to do what you say.
