What makes up the Most Warcraft Custom Games (Or most played):

Tower defense/Team Or vs (Or games Close to it)
RPG's
Hero Arenas / Hero Arenas with a known theme (DBZ)
Large Stand alone Mini Games, (Mad Balls, Tetris, Smash TV)
Tags (may include murder maps)(OR Vampire)
Maze/assorted mini games (escape gay space, uther party, prymiad escape)

=================================================
What are people interested in?
=================================================
What Do i think people play (In Order To most played To least):

And From what i can tell, Dota A Hero Arena stands on top.
Then there are Tds
Then other hero arenas + RPG's (About the same)
Tags (may include murder maps)(OR Vampire)
Maze/assorted mini games
Large stand alone mini games.

Polish?
I found people prefer a polished game over a large unpolished game.
Polish is Balance/Looks/how smooth things run.

How Many idems/Heros?
I have found people perfer many, but if you have alot of items they dont want to feel To overwhelmed.
so keep the items themed of some sort,
like how dota has +3 str + 6 str + 10 str, + 3 agi....ect ect or something like that.

Large Maps?
I have found people love large maps, but still don't want to feel lost in them.

How Many players?
I found that 8-12 player games have much more downloads then games 1-7 players.

Teams?
I Found That for most games people prefer to have 1-2 teams.
And FFA is rarely perfured Choice.

How Long Intill the player relizes how to play?
1-5 min max. If they don't know what they are doing after 3 min they will become furstred,
and if they don't get help by other players they may never return to play again.

How Hard to play?
Easy to play, Hard to master. and some where in the middle to win (or win on some sorta mode)

Do People Want a Theme?
Yes! by adding a simple theme to the game. by changeing nothing but saying you are battleing
the forces of evil. instead of ..."I made bad guys that will att your base you should defend". Its good!

Do People Want a Video in the game?
Yes, Maybe not the start vid becaause people tire of those. But Yes they like 1-15 sec clips in
the game, and at the end.

Do people like "liveing games"?
I found Yes They very much do. It keeps the game feeling fresh, like they are part of its evolving.
This will add much replay value...even its just a little bit being added.

Dota is a example of a "liveing Game". A game that doesn't just update the map but adds a
little to it. A few more items a few more heros ect. Whats even better is if the game
is up and running and people have direct input of what will be in the next version.

=================================================
How Should The Making of the map be approached?
=================================================

So The livening game part could be used for most games.
I want to make a Small Game thats polished And done.
Then release it And slowly add more and more.

=================================================
What Do i Plan on makeing?
=================================================

So i think i want to make a game that people seem interested in.
So i am considering Making a Td Or a RPG OR a Hero Arena.
I will also make it 8-10.
The game will start small but will be of high quality.

Final Thoughts
=================================================

I feel That this is how Most maps should be made. Using The "liveing game" concept.
This way it will rarely happen where you don't finish a map, but worse comes to worse it will be a short map with limited things in it.
And I don't believe in making a map just because people will play it, it should be something your interested in, But it doesn't hurt to find a common interest
