I saved my map and the the laptop's battery went down. When I started the laptop again and tried to open the map it displayed error "main map file cannot be opened". I have an older version of the map, but I have important changes in the new one! So... Which file from the old map should I import in the new one via MPQ editor to fix it?

You cannot import anything to the new map as it is completely corrupt. Any attempt to repair it will likely be unsuccessful and take longer than re-applying the changes again. There is a reason your computer tells you to "not turn off the power" when doing critical file writes. Large parts of the map archive may be missing, incomplete or even garbage depending on how/when power was lost.

If you use JNGP you might have a previous save in its backup folder. If you save often then hopefully not much work will have been lost.

If power was lost during saving and you have not saved since then some of the map data files might be lying around your Warcraft folder under the Maps folder. These files may also be corrupt depending on if the file cache flushed quickly enough and if the drive buffer emptied before complete power loss.

Probably moot at this point, but another place you can look is your Test Folder in wc3 as each time you test your map it puts a copy of it there. If you haven't tried to do anything else since then it could still be there.
