Multiples of a person in video?

It's done a lot in movies as you may know. Place a static camera in your room and divide it in two halfs. You first do your 'thing' at the left half of the camera and then another thing at the right half of the camera.

Now you got two different takes of both halfs, now cut the takes in half and 'glue' the halfs where you were on together.

Or something like that.

Being interested in video editing, I know a couple ways to do this:

1. Green screen it. But that will limit the interactions you can do.

2. Mask it. You'll need three videos of yourself on the same background with the help of a tripod to steady it. Then use mask tool to cut out videos into any shape you want.
