I am looking for a converter that converts .mp (mayaPLE) to either .3ds or.mdx/.mdl. Thanks for your help in advance,

I don't think that there be an exporting script for maya. Specially because very few modellers in this site use it, and if they happen to use it is for something not-wc3-related.
