Mounted Villager Light

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Based off of MountedVillagerByPaladinjst (original model). Credit for all work put into editing it to create this model goes to GhostThruster - great job switching the knight's horse with the bandit mage's horse. This new model works well as a light cavalry alternative in my map.

Kinda goes against the rules however its useful as a resource so I uploaded it.

Mounted Villager Light (Model)

This has a critical fault regarding its Decay Bone animation. Did you test it in-game? The horse appears suddenly again at it. And I'll ask paladinjst if he gives permission to this. It would be preferrable that paladinjst himself made it available...

Using the pack horse texture would have been better, the mesh would not have needed a rewrap at all and the end results looks weird now.

All credit for this model goes to GhostThruster
....This should not be the case at all in fact it´s still paladinjst model, he was the one who had to rig the villager to the knights bones. If anything all credits should go to blizzard since hardly any work was done either way.

I think it looks great as it is :D The pack horse texture looks shoddy and lacks TC. I am considering making a custom skin for the bandit mage horse so that it at least has some armor, that'll act as a medium cavalry. I disagree, a simple rewrap would look like crap because of the geosets, tried removing the squirt for a lighter feel and there were missing gaps between all the legs and some geosets.

I already stated who made the original and then I gave credit to the person who put in the work. Lol, quite an opinion you have mate...

Kind of, meh.
2/5. Not even a portrait.

Hahaha, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Yeah, I know - I'll get a portrait up eventually. I know its nothing special but its still useful as a resource.

Simple things make the world what it is today.

True mate.

Useful, though it could really use a weapon. Not everything would work (that people might want to attach), and if they want it so badly they can remove it themselves; it's not difficult.

Attachments. If its the right size, it'll work - question is more so about the attack animation suiting the weapon. It's not that hard to add it either...

credit is not enough. you need permission from @paladinjst.

as a general rule of thumb, try not to upload resources made for you for the sake of personal use without asking. it's really fucking scummy. (doubly scummy in this case since i wasn't even the original creator)

I feel you. I asked but got no answer. I asked many things on his profile however I always got the cold shoulder - that guy...

Uhh really? Scummy? Geez - I just uploaded because its useful for other people. I only had generosity in my intent. Sorry to offend all you modelers and your standard of ethics. I'll take it down if you want, since you made the model. I'd prefer to keep it up though - I looked for a model like this for almost a year and I'm sure other people have as well. It's definitely useful and prefer to keep my resources open to the public, not horded in private.

EDIT: Updated description to be a bit more descriptive.

Awaiting updates regarding the faulty decay, and permission by paladinjst.

Hmm - I see. Works fine in game, never noticed honestly. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sure- I already asked many times and he ignored me. Suppose so...

paladinjst gave permission to keep this here. So all you need to do is fix the Decay Bone glitch. And if you configure it as a regular unit, you'll see how the horse re-appears when it goes from Decay Flesh to Decay Bone:

Odd - well, somebody else made this model for me via request - so I have no idea how to get this done because idk how to animate.
I'll ask them about updating the decay animations or post another request of the forums to get that done.
Oh wait - all its doing is reappearing at a certain point? In that case it should be a simple fix of turning off the geoset during that animation.
Thanks for the update. I'll see what I can get done and re-upload a clean model.
