SUMMARY
Gameplay
Gameplay is focused on exploration, challenging boss fights, and simply killing stuff.
There are many secrets and such to discover, since the explorable area is quite large.
This game does not have a storyline.
Combat system Monter2 uses a hack-and-slash combat system inspired by Monster Hunter and Dark Souls.
There are currently five weapon classes - sword, hammer, spear, axe, and bow.
Enemies also utilize the combat system, each with their own unique behaviors.
Game length
In a typical playthrough, about 4 to 5 hours.
It is possible to complete the game in less than an hour, however.
Solo and co-op
Enemy health is adjusted according to the number of players present, making the game
suitable for solo and co-op play.
Other features Monter2 uses custom animations which were made for this game specifically.
This game also uses an original soundtrack.

basically a nothingburger update sry, but i've been procrastinating this for like 2 months so i ought to actually release it
this map has been slowly getting screwed over by post-reforged patches, so i decided to make the map compatible with wc3 version 1.27a thanks to drake53's map adapter tool. pretty sure this map is literally unplayable on the current reforged version so rip in peace. i recommend using alternate bnet services like entgaming, eurobattle.net, etc. to play this map. i may personally use entgaming to host this from now on, assuming i can even find anyone to play with l0l
you can join the discord if you want to try to get a monter game going. i'm not a big discord user so i may not reply immediately but at the very least i periodically check it
as a side note i didnt thoroughly playtest this version so if there's any bugs sry lol, there may be some quirks that have cropped up from the conversion process but it seems mostly playable though

two of the maps i was working on (monter2 and some pvp thing) both started having major desyncing issues ever since reforged dropped. the conditions for a desync to occur are seemingly random and not easily replicable, which makes it borderline impossible for me to fix. though to be fair i haven't really directly asked anyone who's more knowledgeable on the topic of desyncs. i've combed through some hive threads regarding desyncs though, and the only conclusion i could come to is that it'd be a massive pain in the ass to diagnose the issue and not really worth the effort
additionally, any patch that blizzard releases is liable to break some random shit as usual, so i have even less incentive to update this map for reforged
this map and the other pvp map i was working on worked fine pre-reforged with desyncs being extremely rare, so ideally i'd want blizzard to shoulder the responsibility of unfucking their game up but that obviously wont happen as we have seen thus far l0l
honestly, i haven't even thoroughly tested this map on the current reforged patch, so i don't even know if desyncs are still an issue. but more likely than not it's probably still broken lol. could be wrong, i might host some random pubs just to test it out maybe
edit: also did a pub game and i crashed like an hour in l0l
