"monsters" and "player's units" are exactly the same
the difference between them is just that "monsters" are owned by neutral hostile
you can put any hero on the map and change its owner to neutral hostile by double-clicking on it
and so you can do the same with a custom hero
You cant turn an unit to hero you must copy the hero and change its model
Dont forget to Disable Window -> Bursh List in World Editor it causes lag when coppying
If you mean turning a creep into a hero... which it sounds like you do seeming the model change didn't seem to be what you wanted, use the trigger action 'replace unit'. Easy as pie.
