Model problem

Hey this is my first time working with a model i read a tutorial on how to remove the weapon of a unit i did all that now i have been trying to add a sniper rifle i downloaded from here to my unit using an ability the weapon shows in the right hand but the unit does not hold the rifle in the left and still fires like the old weapon is still there i have no idea what to do

How did you add the weapon? Did you use Oinkerwinkle's Vertex Modify's inbuilt merge geoset option, or Oinkerwinkle's separate Geoset Merger program?

If all else fails, import the rifle separately and use it as an attachment.

i added the weapon as an attachment using a ability im still learning the other programs so i dont know how to use them

the animations won't change just because you added a new weapon, if you upload the 2 models in a post, i could take a look at see if Ican do anything :/
