is there anyway to convert a model into a varible like when a ability is being cast or a unit is being attacked the target of the ability or the attacked unit's model can u convert that model into a varible and then change the caster/attacker's model into that model ?

There are no trigger actions that allow you to change a unit's model (as far as I am aware)

yea i dont think theres anyway to refrence what model is being used on the unit, you could always creat a unit of the same type to replace though....
