Mixing tile sets

Has anyone figured out how to mix tile sets? For instance mixing char tile sets with braxis so as to have 4 textures from Braxis and 4 from Char?

Also how would one add the space sky-box to a map that doesn't already have one?

I was using the terrain texture sets in the data editor. I found that you can add different cliffs to a set using the cliffs value. Also the fields for background model offered the "Braxis Alpha Sky Box," although I'm still trying to figure out how to make it show in the editor.
