mirror image on target unit?

I want to create a spell that creates 1 mirror image of a target unit, and I wonder how to do it.
I can make a trigger that adds mirror image to the unit,cast it and then remove, but

is there anotehr way? any workaround, some JASS code, any ideas?

but that will only create a duplicate of the target unit and wont play the spell animation which will confuse other players which one is the real one.

There are vjass and GUI systems that allows you to easily work with illusions (includes creation and advanced manipulation).
