Ok I've decided to finally release this map. This is the first public version
and its about time I ask someone for their opinion.

Mini-Wars

Type : PvP Mini game pack

Info

The map is set in the barrens and contains 10 mini games. They are:
1. Arcade Wars
2. Ahhh a Blademaster!!! Run!!!
3. Hidden Ways
4. Clicked sheep go BANG!
5. Iron Junkies - Rush Edition
6. Iron Junkies - Maze Edition
7. Slay a Satyr ( Created by Donut3.5)
8. Blink TaG
9. Ahhh a bunch of Sappers!!! Run!!!
10. The hunted - Panda Edition

This is currently all the mini games I want in the map. I have received minimal
support for this map so far and so I am leaving it at this unless a get some real
support and positive feed back.

I triggered this map when I still used GUI and the only JASS Script in the map is
by Tennis ( The GetHost() function). I am not going to convert this map to JASS
because as I've said its just not worth the effort at the moment.

Testing

This map CAN be played in single player. AI is avaliable for 2 games.

However by turning a trigger on in the map you can test against useless bots. To get the
bots to finish a mini game type "-test". ( Works in both Iron Junkie Games, Clicked
sheep go BANG and The Hunted)

I would really appreciate anyone hosting this game on b.net so I can debug the few bugs
that im sure still exist. I believe that there are no bugs that make the game unplayable
but I am not sure.

Mini-Game Overview

Arcade Wars

This mini game uses a custom attack system. You use abilities to swing your sword,
throw spears, create a damage blocking shield and charge an enemy down. The object
is to be the last man standing.

Ahhh a Blademaster!!! Run!!!

Grom Hellscream spawns and begins to bladestorm. He then chases after the closest
unit increasing in speed periodically. Player units have abilities to disable each other,
increase move speed and decrease damage taken. The object is to be the last man standing.

Hidden Ways

Each player receives a Dreni which is invisible except for when he attacks. Players
use an array of abilities and strategies to win this game. It sometimes requires
a lot of patients and quick thinking. The object is to be the last man standing.

Clicked Sheep go BANG

The concept is simple. Click on a sheep to blow it up. You gain points according to
the level of sheep you blow up. Sheep spawn from the top of a track and you have to
click on them while your camera is moving back and forth.
Will be removed in tournament mode due to host advantage.

Iron Junkies - Rush Edition

The Iron Junkies have captured some Tauren who are now making a break for it! but
only one will escape! You must navigate your way through a sea of Junkies and make it
to the other side first using an array of abilities. Make it to the other
side first to win.

Iron Junkies - Maze Edition

Its your second chance to escape. Navigate you way through the maze to escape.
Dodge missiles, junkies and don't get hit by a thunderclap. Make it to the other
side first to win.

Slay a Satyr

This game was created by and entered to the map by donut3.5 . I then edited
the game to fit into the map. The object is to be the one who hits the satyr the
most times in a certain amount of time. The satyr creates illusions to distract players.
Will be removed in tournament mode due to luck aspect.

Blink TaG

My friend Spanky came up with the idea for this game, and I built on to it. You
receive units who cannot move, but they can Blink, you must then either avoid
the tagged player or tag someone depending on your status. The tagged player
loses 5 health per second. The object is to be the last man standing.

Ahhh a bunch of Sappers!!! Run!!!

Not a very original game but fun non the less. Player units are in a small enclosure
and must dodge Sappers who are running to commit suicide at random points in the
region. Players can use an ability to slow each other. The object is to be the
last man standing.

The Hunted - Panda edition

THE ARCHERS ARE TRYING TO KILL THE PANDAS!!! Maneuver your Archer to a suitable
location take up your bow and shoot some pandas! Your receive points according
to how far from the panda you are. Player with the most points at the end of
a period of time is the winner.

Map Overview

Restarting

The game can be played several times without having to rehost. The game will automatically
restart after every match.

Points System

The game works on a simple points system. You receive points according to your position
for each Mini-Game, and only you know how many points you have ( Displayed as gold ).
This adds to the excitement of the game as you never know who's winning. It also prevents
lower players ganging the leader.

Modes

There are four different modes:
1. Short Game
2. Medium Game
3. Full game
4. Tournament Mode

The Short, Medium and full game modes choose the number of different game that are
to be played. They are 4,7,10 respectably. The Tournament mode only plays games
that require skill. This means that Slay a Satyr and Clicked sheep go bang are
not played. Clicked sheep go bang is not played as the delay online gives the host
an unfair advantage.

Game Picking

Games are picked at random to make the game fair. E.g. the host cannot choose his
best games and win repeatedly.

Protection
This map is unprotected, and will remain that way forever. It is however optimized
by Vexorian's Optimizer.

Feedback

I would appreciate any constructive feedback on things like bugs or minor
improvement. If you think I should continue with this project then please say so.

Its not nearly as fun alone (with inactive AI), b-net is the only way... If anyone wants i'll try to create basic Ai...

Ya im realy bad at terrain, i would appreciate some help with it. So if you can help please tell me and i'll send the un-optimized version.

Everytime? Damn... I know what causes that to happen but it hasnt happened in ages... Its got something to do with players leaving and variables being set to nothing... I'll fix that for the next version...

Ya thats when the game displays the positions for the mini-game and the points won... It never happens when i test it but i'll redo that whole section for the next version, which will have basic AI and some small balances as well...

Ya your probably right.
But the thing is that although both games have mini-games the games are different because Mini-Wars has more of a tornament style gameplay. It is very point orientated but can still be enjoyed regardless of points.
Uther Party is less point and skill orientated, its fun but not very competative. ( At least it isnt when i play it ).

Update:
Well i've played the map again with me friends and i didnt get one crit error even after like 10 restarts!
I'm busy with the AI and it'll be finished soon.

I'll work on the terrain, AI and leaks ( i think they're alot ) as soon as i get a working Pc.
Btw thanks for actualy cheakn it out :wink:

Update

The map has been updated,
the only change being that it now uses the latest version of Vexorian's Map Optimizer.
AI has not been added.

The map has been uploaded in the Maps section.

A quick update of things to come in version 2.0...

Gameplay has been changed on several games and AI is being introduced...
