I've come back after a loooong time away from WC3, and I decided to help that map making community out there with this stuff: MIDI converters for FREE!

    HERE:
http://timidity.s11.xrea.com/index.en.html#down (This one looks good, but I'm having problems with it.)

    OR ALTERNATIVELY:
http://users.lmi.net/bblackie/music/winamp/midi2wav.html (Taking MIDI to WAV with Winamp)

    OR EVEN MORE ALTERNATIVELY:
http://www.winamp.com/plugins/browse.php?ctype=P&category=7 (out lame MP3 encoder for output with Winamp! It's the last one on the page.)

When you install Winamp or get into it, press Ctrl+P to get into the plugins. Use the plugin that you downloaded with it. Go throught all the settings and convert! You can do this with many formats besides MIDI. (BTW, I don't know where this topic should go...)
