I completely agree. This should be there so we don't have to link offsite... it also looks awesome when the video is embedded into the page 
And if it only works for the Google and Youtube formats, well there is no chance of any malware is there?

i dont get malware with youtube, but i dont trust video.google much, although when i have peer guardian on it blocks both sites.

Yeah, but it really shouldn't be a problem with either since they're both owned by google and they're usually pretty quick on both to find and remove offending content. Fix away Bob

Ok well the problem I am having at the moment is that basicly each video on YouTube has a unique code after the ID in the code. But the problem is not only does it seam to be unique to every video, but it is changing constantly. So unless I can find some way around it the only way to make something like this would be with some php code or something.
So now atm its working, only because I have edited the vB code to the correct ID and have got the video open at the moment.

Right so will it work all the time? Really, I think it would be a lot easier just to allow people to embed flash objects, like youtube and google videos, but it would just require stricter moderation to keep out malicious embedded content.

We have got a [flash] tag as well, made that a while ago, but then we would still face the problem of the fact that you would still need that ID, that would still change.

well doesn't youtube give the code to embed? I'm pretty sure it does because a lot of sites, such as personal blogs embed youtube content into their news posts....

Ok everyone, I would like to say that I have hopefully fixed the Flash code, so now it will display a Flash Animation at the real size, not at the same size all the time.
to make the flash tags work, just use the tags [flash] and [/flash], and put in the URL of your Flash Animation inside the tags. You don't need to enter in the width or height, if I fixed the bug properly it should automatically display it at the proper height & width.

lets say i have a pastebin entry with my .sfw file
i can use the flash tags to embend it into my poast
or if i have it of site i can use it to load the file into my poast?
