Max Damage - Carrion Swarm?

What does the Max Damage value do?

Does the wave stop after it's dealt max damage or will it keep flying and deal no damage?

The latter: it will keep flying, but deal no damage.
(Again: this can easily be tested by yourself ).

lets say your carrion swarm dealt 100 damage with a max damage of 200.

if there were 3 units, that would be total of 300 damage (100 damage on each unit).

since the max damage is 200, however, the third unit would take 0 damage.
