Hey, just a question about this contest. Can it be not just murdering 2 lovers but also Mania shattering a place a land and that means no love for the nature. Because I am trying to make a corrupted terrain that symbolizes no love for the nature.

Ok, still in the progress of making the terrain but here are some screenshots to show progress. I think I'll be planning the terrain to be really flat and also I know its not yet that sad and disturbing.... so I'll need your tips on what to do to make it that really scary, sad and disturbing.

UPDATE 1: Added 1 terrain Screenshot! Changed fog to Dark Green and added some doodads into the terrain.
UPDATE 2: Added 2 terrain Screenshots, have a look! Added many doodads to make it more dread looking like Zombies and Hanging Zombies.
FINAL UPDATE: Added the final screenshot for my entry. Hope it is in good view, two lovers in the grave sorrounded by the dead and the darkness all around. Perfectly symbolizes no Love!

You change the angle by pressing and holding the Ctrl button and then drag the screen to your desired angle with the right mouse button - or in case you locked the playable camera angle in the World Editor, you will have to press C before doing the before-mentioned dragging :)
Also, you should change the direction of that crypt - I can teach you how to do that as well if you don't know :)

Also, you could find a lot of useful doodads in the UTM. Most terrains' effects are achieved through the sky and lighting which, in your case, isn't even visible. Do not use the skybox, use the stormshpere in the UTM. It takes the color which you apply to the fog. Different effects like sunrise can be achieved with the glow model.

I would recommend adding some dark blue grass in the foreground of your angle (Good grass models can be found in the UTM) and a dark blue fog, or Dark green would work fine as well (Depends on what feeling you want to create)

Fogs can be created by going to Scenario in the upper line of the World Editor main window, then find Map Options. A new box with map properties should then appear - click the "Use Terrain Fog", and set a color the same way you normally tint a unit. The "Style" should remain Linear and don't touch the density either, but the "Z - Start" should be around 200 - 500 and if you want the fog to be very thick, then set "Z - End" close to the start. Otherwise, put it far away. Go ahead, experiment with it - it will make your terrain a lot better for sure

Oh, and please upload a WiP soon. We wanna see your progress dude! :D

It would be fun anyways? You could make entries for all contests, and maybe instead of two line lasting
"*shots kari to the ground with a gun because he is evil*" RPs, something real could be started without stereotyping people on their teams ¨-¨

We lack ppl who say, well well the good side is winning, but i take my chances and join the evil side to make them competition.
The yare all just like "Meeeh its boring to be evil lets join the good side" Even when my profile image is an evil burning skull

There are a lot of stuff that you should do to it before uploading. Firstly, you should crop off the ugly world editor features framing the terrain - you can most likely do that in the basic paint program.
Secondly, why take a screenshot while having selected an object in the picture? As you can see, it leaves an obvious green circle that is totally out of place - simply press the space button to clear selections in the editor.

Other than that, the terrain height still needs some variation. Go to the terrain template, and use the raise- and lower-tools around the visible terrain. Especially in the background, with a hilly/mountainous horizon instead of this flat one.
Also, I'd recommend expanding the map, in order for that black unrealistic border on the edge of the map to get out of sight.

Just suggestions.. :)

Okay, NEVER use units in a terrain. do not make tiles visible up-close cause you can see that they are obviously not aligned. Also, The world looks like it just ends a couple of steps back. Moreover, It's too flat and the trees cover up most of the background. Absolutely no sky which kills any kind of emotional effect which terrainers ofter aim for. I'd suggest taking a very close look at some of the legendary terrains and studying techniques seen there. I'm sorry for the negative feedback but if you are planning to continue terraining, you should try to improve your skills.

I disagree. It fully depends on what feeling you want to give the viewer of the pic, and units makes it more lively. However, a bad choice of unit models can of course give the pic a bad effect, but generally it's a good thing to have units in terrains, in my opinion that is. My Christmas pic would suck if it didn't have all those units in it ^^

Well, it also depends on the environment models. More HQ models pretty much require HQ unit models

Thanks Dad and DSgamer. Well, dad, I really want it to be flat because it is like a plain because the tile I used is rock and doesnt need a raise or lower but still thanks, dad!

And DSgamer, its ok for the NEGA-comment and I appreciate it because I can use it in the future but for now, I think this will be it and I got a question, How do I remove the previewer and the black borders so it will only leave the picture of the terrain?
