I notice in the model section there are several weapons. How do you get the weapons to appear on the unit you want? Ive tried

but when the unit attacks the weapon disapars for a second.
They are, but the way it works is with strings. So basically, the hand part is one string, and left/right are other strings that specify which hand to put it on. So, it doesn't matter which order you put it in.
You can use either triggers to attach a special effect to a part of a unit, or make a custom skill for it, based off of the orb of fire/frost/lightning/darkness/etc item skill.
