Making Portraits in W3 Model Editor

I have been trying very hard to make a selectable blue power generator but can't figure it out. I've tried retexturing a red generator but i cant remove an annoying red glow from it when i do. I checked all the textures and materials, and went through the node manager finding and replacing all the colors and textures according to the doodad, but i simply cant figure out what causing the glow. I was wondering how i would make a portrait for the doodad and then import it into the game.
