Making a space terrain

Hey.. i'm kind of wondering how you make a space terrain, for example cruiser command, you press "f1" and you see cruiser view in space, but when you press "f1" again, your back inside the cruiser, i was wondering how they do the space outside, and the cruiser inside.. (It seem's they are both on diffrent maps.. cuz sizes in minimap just grow bigger and smaller..

The map has many separated regions and it`s locking your camera view at one of them. That`s why the minimap is smaller then.

Problem is.. your screen isnt locked when your inside cruiser, and out of cruiser it is..

Aha.. figured it out, thanks, i used what you sayd =]

It is locked over the region so you can move around it but nowhere else. I don`t remember atm what was the trigger to make it.

i do.. i just did, i just gotta know how to make the terrain look like space..

You can use Outland Abyss terrain, or you could paint your own easily, since it's basically a couple of white dots
