I would like to make Skins and Models for my RPG what Programs do i need to do it :?: :?: :?:

i have WarCraft 3 Veiwer v2.3b and when i try to edit it in gmax it says it cant be opened...
what do i do?
why doesnt it work?

I've heard the Viewer don't supports GMAX

*slaps face* You need to import the model into Gmax, you can't just open it. Then you need to export the model from Gmax as well

What type of file does it need to be?

Models for Warcraft III TFT: .mdx , .mdl
Textures or Skins for Warcraft III TFT: .blp

A good program for skinning is Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop but if you can't afford it try The Gimp
A professional modelling program for modelling models is 3ds Studio Max but its abit too expensive.
