i want to make skins/models but i dont know what i need!!

i need help i wanna make skins/models but i do not know which programs i need or if they will harm my comp, i need good, easy to use programs that will not do much to my comp. . .ill take ANYTHING at the moment. . .i really wanna make skins

Both tools are free and will get you skinning.
