i have a unit that has Locust as its ability (the ability that makes unit invulnerable and unselectable). whenever i use an AOE abilities such as Blizzard and move the cursor over this unit, the unit becomes green in color. and i dont want that. so is there any way to remove that greenish color?

What do you need this unit to do? If it has to just stand around, you could replace it with a doodad of the same model as the unit. You could also make the unit invisible and create a special effect at the position of each unit, with the model file of that unit, but it will always be facing 0 degrees. By the way, magic immunity doesn't solve the problem

or you can just give the unit invunerable abilty
That doesn't work either (I tested it). He is not asking how to make units unaffected by AOE, but rather how to make units not turn green from the targeting circle. This is pretty much blizzard's fault that they don't check whether each unit can actually be a target before turning it green. You'll just have to try one of the workarounds I suggested...
