I just want to make a doodad (a tree) transparent but I don't know how

yes but it was possible to add an alpha channel to a .blp file? or you can make a model with a .tga?
do you know a tool to convert a .tga to .blp?
of course, blizzard did it lot of times. And you can't make models with .tga skins;
