Low quality Campaign Cinematics.. Replacement?

Hi all,

I couldn't find a definitive answer to this by searching.

I have decided to abandon reforged and reinstall my old CD's and patch up to 1.27b.

Everything is perfect except campaign cinematics, they are much lower quality than what they used to be in 2002 even after installing a k-lite kodec pack.

Is there a way to package higher definition or alternative video format files into MPQs of the same names so that during the campaign it will look for the corresponding cinematic file name, but instead open up a modern video format and play it correctly?

Are there any other fixes?
