Think about changing the design of the boots.
There's hardly any way you can make vines work with how the texture is wrapped around them.

Kwaliti: The vines make this look totally messy. Try making them a bit more glued to the concept. Also, the shoulders wrap weird.

Magtheridon96: His face still looks like it is made out of metal.
The necessary changes were not made.

shiiK: You seem to have updated this after my last comment, but I don't see the necessary changes. Moving this to rejected (until updated).

shiiK: Much improvement has been made, but why is his face shining like it was made out of metal? You also need to rework those scales, they are fairly large. Lastly, add more shading. The torso gives the impression of being a square box rather than a human body.

shiiK: Needs more shading, new shield, changes to the face. There's also a few issues with the wrap (shoulders and chest) and a few glitches - don't leave parts of the model covered in parts that are not part of the design. The scales on his scale mail should be smaller.

That shield looks hideous and does not follow the theme of the rest of the skin. I'd suggest changing it into a wooden or metallic shield or something. Just not green. Also, get rid of the vines. As for the amount of freehand, I believe there is enough. To me it looks like only the face is partly unedited. Correct me if I am wrong. Anyways, as many have said before me, you are definitely improving. This is by far your best skin, though still not approvable in this state. Keep it up like this, and it'll get approved.

EDIT: Whoops, just saw the lore you made for these fellars. Aight, then you should probably keep the vines. Heck, you should probably even add some more. Just change the shield, will ya?

honestly it looks awful.. you completely missed the theme you were trying to do

I mean.. if the jungle took over those men, there should be a lot of rusted or totally destroyed metal, which certainly ain't shiny at all.. also their skin would change to something.. froggy? in texture.. not to mention loosing all hair or that being replaced with plant-stuff..

EDIT:

Here's a neat example how a man cursed to the jungle should look, as a guideline..

Misha, don't you think that, well, these men spent a bit less time in some cursed forest to change into a completely different creature? I mean imagine a map/campaing where at begining you encounter only those slightly changed lost warriors, while the much stronger and mutated creatures like Cursed Tresspasser appear later. See, this is like somewhat of basic unit.

they may be become monsters but that didn't make them without brains.
Thouse warriors are more smart that you think. They keept their human
part. They have build a new stronghold in the jungle without knowing that they exist.
Nice from you tho help but you see now,the monsters are not allways have rusty armour and not allways stubit.

I for one, do not believe the "scales" need to get any smaller, as they are clearly lamellar plating, not scales.

What does need improvement however, is how the straps connect across his chest, as due to the wrap, they do not cross properly. I also wonder why his facial hair has turned extremely red, but I guess gingers are evil.

I think you got some of the details down nicely the shield looks really nice, but the overall concept just feels confusing to me. I understand what you are trying to do, but you use such a crazy mix of colors that it is hard for anyone to see that he is supposed to have been devoured by the forest. Many of the colors are too bright/saturated, the green almost looks neon and very unnatural, and then you have some bright red/orange, yellow and blue thrown in that just adds confusion. You can keep the moustache as it is, but please change the blue and yellow on his axe to something else. Also, i don't think you have gone far enough on the "nature" aspect of it, he looks mostly like a soldier with a couple of vines on him, and his armour is mostly untouched (apart from some rust which you did nicely). You should add a subtle tone of green to some of it, and maybe just add some moss in places to add to the effect.
