By default, it doesn't.
You can still use both models though.

I've attached the file for the scarlet footman (extracted the footman model from war3.mpq, renamed the texture path and done).
You need to set the texture to textures\ScarletFootman.blp (the path of the model file doesn't matter).
Then you can use both the normal as the scarlet footman.

Having already placed footy's in the map is no problem ^^

Juts import the model I've attached to my previous post, import the texture (scarlet footman texture) and rename that to "textures\ScarletFootman.blp".
Then you can go to the object editor and select "ScarletFootman.mdx" as a model.

You need to look at it as a completely new model.
