I have played around with WinMPQ, and I found out that
Environment\DNC\DNCAshenvale\DNCAshenValeTerrain\DNCAshenValeTerrain.mdx
creates a new effect on the map (lights it up) lol

Not new. Some projects replace this model with an empty one to create light-empty areas, so the only way to see anything is with another source of light.
