well i wanted to find a person first because i didnt want random criticizims before i said it but ill give it a try here goes:

i would like sum1 to make a mod that allows 30-40 players (human or comp) play in the same game on Battle.net this request is specifically for my FPS and i wasnt sure if it is possible or not

No, it isn't possible. Not that I know of.

Why would this be illegal? And Warcraft 3 allows max 12 players in one game.

Because you would need to modify the engine with an exe or something and you would need to make a custom server which is illegal.

Why do you even need 40 players in one game? 12 is more than enough.

well how much fun would battle feild be if only 12 peeps were playing and if modding is illegal then y so many people do it? huh? oh and also CS was originally a mod so if they made it into a game i dont think that the makers of half-life care

Umm... Try capitalizing letters. And not comma splicing like crazy.

If you want more players, just have 10 player-controlled ones and 2 computer-controlled ones that are NPCs and attack by themselves.

Its becuase those people brought the HL engine to modifiy, you would need a server to support that many people and that alone will cost you money, you would also have to modify alot of it and Battle.net is a Service company, meaning ...NO TOUCHIES.

Battlefield is a FPS and it's normal that it needs more players. RTS is different and players usually have much more units, so more players are not needed, plus there all people must wait before the game begins, unlike FPS when usually players can join during the game.

Trust me Kaboom master, 30-40 people would LAG LIKE HELL. Hell, 12 people would probebly cause some lag in an FPS type of map.
