A change is way to small.
Why not make a white one and set the rgb values in the editor to prefered values...?

no real moddel ... u can only make effects right?
this can u do with all programms paint photoshop with all

Cause you cant do this if you want to use it as a buff or spell-effect.
But what if Cyan is not the right color for that spell? Making new lightning models with other colors? :?

If I made a white one and set the rgb to cyan, the center of lightning would not be white. It would be all cyan, and the brightness would be reduced.
Hm k, that's right, I (just) tried to set the rgb values of the normal lightning doodad in editor to 0-0-0 and - the lightning disappeared, only the point where it hits the ground was there.
