Life Drain on Undead

It appears that setting up life drain to hold excess life does not work on Undead units.

To be clear I've set up a standard Undead unit with a modified life drain as attached, and it caps at the unit's max HP.

Ideas?

I may have something to do with the fact That the undead only heal on blight

The undead can heal outside blight too, same as NighElfs in the Night only

Undead restrict to blight, this is why they have that blight item.

I doubt that's the case. Might be something from the attribute.

I had an Undead unit with Drain Life set to increase HP and it worked perfectly fine...check the gameplay constants and the actual fields of the spell itself.

Damn...so, if you give this exact same ability to another unit that is not Undead it will suddenly work?

Yes. I added it to a vanilla footman and it worked.

I'm not sure if people knew this but I did not: Life won't transfer until the casting unit is at or below their max HP.
