1.) the bubbles are necessary because the rocks are not settled, not even during stand, that's why they bob up and down in stand, to look unstable, dynamic, like the bridge could melt and sink away any second. the bubbles need to be permanent because the other lava doodads I have are going to be equipped with them as well as the yellowy orange water rings, which are both to help hide the vertexes in the ground from vision when doing the up and down movements. this matters if your bridge is not on perfectly flat land. as long as the rings and bubbles are all visible, the ground doesn't even really matter too much. but all the particle emitters are just eye candy, without them, I feel it looks bland. I feel they are as weakened as I feel comfortable with. other wise terrain tiles show through them too powerfully such as lava cracks.
2.) the ''Textures\Ice_Ice.blp'' texture is being used by the bridges ''surface area'' bridges work similarly to invisible platforms, there is a platform of vertexes that crosses the top of this model, if you make an ice bridge doodad in game, and walk a unit across it, you'll notice hes not on the burgs them selves, but above the ice burgs, it uses ''Ice.blp'' to make the entire rectangle all along the bridges surface area invisible by having the rectangle on an alpha channel. because I don't know enough about editing bridge models, I left that part alone for a reason.
the other 2 textures are textures im still messing with in this model and am still experimenting with to use with particle emitters.
@Skypsi
This texture is just to match my other lava burgs. I couldn't find a good texture that had red going to black, and then that same black, on top
the texture I did use is exactly what I wanted, which was the blood red, going to darker and darker grey, to black, which is hard to find in the mpq-- the texture how ever is very small. but mostly my reasoning is if you look at the outland rubble doodad you realize its actually a pretty good texture, just a bit stretched on something this massive like a bridge. that's what the emitters are for, to draw ur eyes away from the kinda stretched tops to whats on the bottom in the cracks, but other wise there is no good texture in my opinion any way, to replace it with.
but If and what ever the cause, im going to try very hard, not to use terrain cliff textures. they are just awful.
glad you like it GreeN!X
glad you like it too Skypsi, your guys comments are always appreciated.
once this contest is over il focus more on these emitters again
