If you change the tileset to Dungeon, the waterfall will become reddish. However, if you already use water in your map, it will become red too, so it is maybe possible to edit the waterfall model to always use the dungeon water texture.
You could change the hue of the waterfall model to be red in the Object Editor. I'm not sure if this would look good, but it's worth a try (maybe mixing multiple copies of the waterfall would be best; one red, one orange, one yellow or something like that).

I edited the waterfall, made it red and non-transparent, so you can use it if you don't find a better one. Unfortunately, it uses custom textures, and looks more like blood than lava, but it could look better if you add fire effects in it.
