ladder help.

can anybody help me with a ladder system like the one in Fortress Siege.

this is the link to it.im new in map editing and if possible make it manually? as in we control the units and choose where to put the ladders. tyvm for any help

im not sure but i think they use a loop trigger wich change the flying height

he told me he used metamorphis ability. im sure it needs triggers
i messaged him but havent reply. can anybody eles help to?
pictures of triggers or step by step will help much thanks

Darkgrom is right you know, you use trigger but you can use an ability to start the trigger :

• Ladder
  • Events
    • Unit - A unit Begins channeling an ability
  • Conditions
    • (Ability being cast) Equal to Metamorphosis
  • Actions
    • Animation - Change (Casting unit) flying height to xxx at xxx

like that, I'm not good at trigger's but that should work (already tested).

i mean. the ladder's model we get ourself?
but issit just like this that other units can climb up the ladder as well?

wow, it seems very hard to do that, but I saw this thing on "Siege Of Helms Deep" map. My friend was creating things like that, It was quite bugy and he sayed that he got allot of errors when trying to turn on ladder.

If another unit want to get up the ladder too, then don't use ability, use this :

• Ladder Thing
  • Events
    • Unit - A unit enters This Region
  • Conditions
  • Actions
    • Animation - Change (Entering unit) flying height to xxx at xxx

but if we use region, we cant freely decide whr to place the "ladder" right?
as in inside the game

As long as the ladder's top is where the 'unit' facing
You can make a trigger that allow the replacement of the ladder
