Knockback is only knocking units south

I have a multiple effect ability that works well except when it gets to the knockback part, for some reason all it does is apply force to them to make them go south, regardless of what angle I hit the target from, or which direction the target is moving to when struck, does anyone know how to fix this?
 
My caster is a mobile unit, and the default angle is set to 45 degrees, so I really don't know why they always go south when the search area is set to that angle.
