jumping/bouncing/arcing units

was curious how to make a ability so that makes unit jump across chasm. does the unit have to be replaced with a unit that can fly upon the casting of the ability? or can somehow the flight height of a ground unit be lifted and arced as well?

You can add Storm Crow ability to non flying units. After that the flying height can be changed.

You can update the flying height in a periodic trigger. You can check some jumping systems in the spell section that do that for you.
