Judash137's Models

Hi everyone, I saw this post from 3 years ago where someone asked if he can upload a pack of models made by @judash137, but in the end nothing came of it.
I managed to contact with author of the models and received his permission to share his resources on public (he also sent me an archive).
My question is — how and where can I do this on Hive?

I will only upload the models that were created by him, since he mentioned that apart from his own works, the archive also contains resources from other authors.

If anyone is interested, here are previews of many resources:

Hey there,

Since you obtained permission you should be fine to upload them to the model section as standard, just make sure to add judash137 as the author and put the permission in the description in spoiler tags. Other than that you should be fine :)

You could bundle particular items together. There's no strict rules on what can go in a bundle but generally they should be similar models or variations on a model. Separate bundles per resource is required so that users can easily search, filter and distill what they're looking for rather than a bulk upload which removes user choice in that regard.

All you need to do is upload the first model of a bundle and then once it's uploaded you hit the EDIT button at the model file near the bottom and add more :)

But yes, it would be preferable if you did not upload all 264 models as a single bundle since this would be large and unwieldy and not helpful for users who are searching for models.

Sick, lovely work. Looking forward to seeing these.

//EDIT// - If you really can't find the time/wherewithal to publish them properly in their respective forums, you can definitely 'shortcut' by posting them all as attachments to a Thread in the Modeling Forum itself. Nowhere near as visible/useful, but it does get them out there.

Hm, okay, then it seems better to use a separate account for this.
Multi-accounting is a permanently ban-able offence on the Hive btw, just a heads-up.

I know it might be a little painstaking and a bit of effort time wise but as I said we don't ask for this arbitrarily but for the ease and QoL of the users seeking to use the model section, I hope that all makes sense :)

No problem, I'll just ask my twin brother to create an account and he'll post these models for me. (He'll do it from my laptop :))

Ye, they are still scattered here and there, then I will at least post them here in a separate thread.

For now I've posted it as an archive in a new thread.

Well, there's models on the judash profile that are now on the khil one.
I don't see any resources at all, as well as the profile itself. So let's assume that you're just playing a joke on us)
I think if that were really the case, you would have immediately told me something like "wait, there's no point in re-posting resources, we can just show the existing ones."
Otherwise, it would have been mean.

Okay, jokes aside, I don't think there is any point in merging, why is it necessary after such a period of time...

They should only be in a single bundle if they only make sense together, like various alternative versions of the same model or a hero with weapons that only attach properly to that hero. Otherwise it's best to post them separately as bundles. You can however go to Packs and make a collection of them afterwards.

Also. Shadi from a high profile hosted project is pushing me to make an upload system that allows passing a ZIP and making the system create the bundles for you. I am not urging you to wait, but it has been bumped higher on the To-do list.

Oh and thank you for doing this. I don't think it's wise to upload the models created by other authors, only the ones by judash137 unless you similarly try to contact those and get a response or never hear back.

By the way, an interesting point — all the resources that Judash ever uploaded are currently present here in various maps (checked via View Usage).
Most likely, the same applies to resources from @D a w n (DonDustin), @-Grendel, @Pyramidhe@d, @Murlocologist, and other users who removed their works (there are probably more, I just don’t know about them).

Does anyone still have their contact information?

It doesn't hurt to try.
It may, in fact; it may annoy or frustrate them further.

Reaching out to ask if they have ever thought of coming back (preferably from someone they knew well) might not be too bad. But specifically asking for resources they specifically & manually removed... I can't imagine that going super well, on average.
