Jaina.blp

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Our little sorceress decided that her cloth armor is to weak and that she doesn't want to waste her magic on protecting herself.
Now with her new shiny armor Jaina has become a battle mage!

shiiK: You've merely slapped some grey colour with filters on it over certain parts and defined the legs so that they look somewhat like your reference. It's hardly enough change to this, nor of decent enough quality to be approved. You should check out those tutorials DonDustin linked, and see if you can improve this with some freehand content.

Well, I used two reference pictures:

Can't remember the second one, but it was sort of a female ninja with metal parts and this face mask.

I'm unsure if copper stuff or anything would lower her "shiny-ness". However, if used like in the reference these few parts would be killed by warcraft.

the problem is the way you did that metal. Warcraft 3 is the wrong engine for that. Your chainmale also needs work. Take a look at http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/2d-art-tutorials-281/texturing-armour-45626/ or for some fitting tutorial http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/2d-art-tutorials-281/texturing-tutorials-ps-165771/
Take a loo at these textures to see how metal should look likefor a wc3 model:

there are also a lot more, but they should give you the idea. Another thing I noticed is that your concept is pretty boring right now, or at least how you executed it. Take a look at your references. They got quite a few great details like that lion on the chest. Try to add something like that to your skin aswell. Just be creative :)

I had a version befor this but fully reworked it.
It lacks details but that won't be the problem. Do you think it fits warcrafts style better?

Btw, ignore the old cape :D Just talking about the armor.

EDIT: For Ampharos: this is the original face ;) Was rather refering to DonDustin as he said that the armor doesn't fit warcraft.
Atm I'm trying some runes on the old one that fit the armor without killing tc.

Going to work on this for sure, but being said this is not freehand is hard. Except from a little bump-map on all spots to add some texture (k, the cloak is very simple due to this) everything there is freehand and everything is redone except for the face.
I think I will fully rework this with a somehow other concept.
