Good to see you back^^.

Hmmm... peaceful and calm, how bout' some trees on the hills behind, and if they're mountains, make them look more mountain-like. I like it but... it just misses some of the epicness it could have.

Dont like it...

That is probably one of the dumbest replies I've ever seen in a terrain thread.

As far as the terrain itself goes. I think it looks just fine, it's just that the left side of the sky box seems way too close. Other than that, bravo.

How so? I agree it's not very constructive but it's not inflammatory. I think worse ones are probably the ones like this "wtf that's not terrain it's just doodads (or photoshop)" or "that's not skilled because you use custom models".

I can see what you mean, such comments are equally annoying. But just a stupid narrow minded explanatory comment is just mindless. I mean if you want, you can hate on a terrain all day long, just post why. It's insulting otherwise.

This is decent terrain, but not what I would expect from you frosty. Your latest work has been head and shoulders above this. I can't really tell you why, it's just the whole thing.

Here... I've added some fog to hide the ugliness of those mountains.
I've tried to add clouds too, but they just don't work well with the picture.

I'm probably not gonna update this any more since it's really hard to handle the thousands of doodads and nearly impossible to add new ones.

I hope this looks better...

I like it alot. Reminds me of the character from Dead or Alive 3's ending... you know, the guy that drinks alot? Anywho, it just looks so peaceful. A good screenshot made by a good terrainer. Bravo.

I stand by what I have said before. frostwhisper is a great Terrainer and Storywriter, but of course that is an opinion. But I believe it to be true still!

The background mountains really bother me. Try looking at other peoples, get an idea of how they should look. Right now yours seem to smooth and cone-like.

I've made them as pointy and rocky as possible, Gilles. But they simply blend with the sky and fog too well...

Anyway, like I said, I probably won't be updating this any more.

Oh and thanks for the compliments, I)ead.
Ahh, I see. That sucks. Get working on something new! : )
