About this Map
This is a standard Melee Map, with a few added features, Naval units! The Blizzard map (4)Islands.w3x is a TFT Melee map. I edited the map by removing the Neutral Goblin Shipyards, then I did some editing to the standard campaign ships (tweaking for balance, and added build option rather then hire options) so they could be used as a regular Melee Game.

Looks interesting,i will have to check it out.I currently use the same map to create a Kul Tiras human race edit.Some screenshoots could be usefull here.

My apologies, It's only beta because the AI. the rest of the map works fine.
If anything its a complete version, the future version (if I get around to it) will have a better AI where they can build the ships too

I want to know more what has been altered in this map aside from what has been said here.

as what I stated above, it's a standard Melee Map. The Blizzard map (4)Islands.w3x is a TFT Melee map. I edited the map by removing the Neutral Goblin Shipyards, and replaced them with the destroyed Doodad forms, then edited each race shipyard and added them to the build list for each worker using an advanced build mechanic.

I did some editing to the standard campaign ships (tweaking for balance, and added build option rather then hire options) so they could be used as a regular Melee Game.

That's basically it. I had this idea so long ago and wanted to finish what I started in my journey to become a more intermediate map maker. I am not Skilled in texture editing, Model editing, but I'm slowly learning more and more about Object Editing, GUI Triggering and Terrain Creation. This map is a simple task created to be a basic Map edit. nothing more serious then that, No custom model, no custom texture, no fancy JASS, I'm not that good yet :(

I do however plan to come back when I get a better idea at AI editing and create a better AI then what the standard AI does. I am not sure if AMAI is still a usable program though, if it is I might try that.

If the map peaks interest I plan to create a map series of "wc3 Naval playable" and go from there. If not, well I'm happy I finished my first idea since way back when.

Rather than placing it in the author's notes. That would be much better.
IMO, this is just a very few/small amount of tweaks in a Blizzard Melee Map. How about you do more than this?

I am already working on different Map projects which I hope to one day release to the open public, so by all mean I plan to do more! As for this map, It is finished in my eyes, unless people can find errors that need to be fixed. I do however plan to come back and re-script a NEW AI in the future.

I do hope you weren't expecting a completely new Melee game featuring custom races, Model, and re-textures. That was not the point, nor idea for the map. If anything this was an addition to the current multiplayer melee functions. The only real way for me to help explain this idea to you would be to think of this as if this was Starcraft II (Which it is NOT), then this would be considered a "MOD" to "add-on" to the current Melee games as an additional feature.

I think the current description works fine at the moment, but perhaps after we fix this:
This map has not been approved in the resource section and is not guaranteed to be working.
Once that is done, I will return and continue this if people want to see more. I will then start working on a more detailed map series as explained in an earlier post. If not, and the map is rejected, well I will just count it as a loss and move on. I create map for my own personal enjoyment. I upload them to share and see if people think its worth something to enjoy. At the moment, there really is no point to continue working if it isn't approved, nor played, or reviewed by other members.

As always, I appreciate the encouragement and advice you guys freely give to map makers alike.
