1. Updated Resource Submission Rules: All model & skin resource submissions must now include an in-game screenshot. This is to help speed up the moderation process and to show how the model and/or texture looks like from the in-game camera.

Is there a chance that this site would feature or support SC 2 maps like http://sc2.nibbits.com/. They have some awesome SC 2 maps while hiveworkshop still remains the same. Or maybe would also feature some SC 2 models or skin, is that possible?

Unfortunatly the section is in beta...

Anyway, a lot of such resources should be pointless due to mods and battlenet. People do not need a download link for their map, they need a hub to retreive feedback and I believe most people are using SC2mapster for that. THW was a tad too late to jump on with SC2 so unfortunatly they are currently losing out.

Well mapster lacks some important features (for example thread subscription, which makes forums nearly useless), and sc2 mapping is only just beginning (at least I hope it's only beginning, judging from the maps currently most popular)

Battle.net demotes the ability of fan sites to host maps. Furthermore the information it provides on a map is very limited. All because Blizzard wants total control of what people play, instead of just letting them decide.

It would have been cool as an addition to the WC3 system but... oh F*** it, it just sucks.

It feels stupid to promote a map on a website/forum and instead of letting people download the map right there you tell them to search for 'Map XY' on 'Server YZ'.
Websites like Hiveworkshop provided so much information automatically by just uploading the map to the website.
