That doesn't fix the registry, I think it just cleans unnecessary/unused entries (I'm using it).

There's Eusing free registry cleaner. I haven't much experience in the registry, so I can't tell you how effective it is.

Hmm, as far as I know, it will just clean broken registry entries. The cumulative junk that collects when you uninstall programs improperly or even properly, deleting shortcuts, etc. Not sure what programs can reconstruct the registry for you sorry.

Windows Repair (from the windows Installer) can fix broken system registry settings, but sometimes it doesn't.

For clean up I recommend CCleaner as well

there is times when a registry error can affect the network and i have network problems so, i suspect that it could be registry related.

I would advise looking up all registry things that affect network and manually checking them. Automated fixers usually "fix" stuff that is not broken and seldom help.

The best fix to registry issues is a clean install of Windows. Which is something I recommend doing very couple years anyway.

i dont know what part of the registry affects network. last time i had registry related network issues i got help from dell but then i used xp.

There is no such thing as "registry fixing".
Though I doubt registry is the cause of your problem.

network problems have been caused by registry problems before so then it could be the case.

the pc cant be seen on the lan but, it can see all other pcs. pcs cant join every game it hosts but they can join some.(red alert 2, command and conquer 3 to mention a few.) it doesnt have any problems with connecting to others. i do however have a separate topic on that subject.(what can cause hosting problems.)

of course. everything worked perfectly earlier but one pc got issues some time ago. it seems likely that it is a registry error since i got a registry related network error once before.
