is there a way to hide the hover tooltip for items?

is there a way to hide the hover tooltip for items? i tried setting the name to just a space but it still shows a blank tooltip on hover. i know how to get rid of tooltips for doodads and units but cant figure out how to do it with items.

How did you get rid of tooltips for doodads and units?

I thought tooltips were hard coded.

How come the same method cannot be applied to items?

for doodad select the part that says selectable in game and change it to false. unit u can make it neutral passive. im talking about when u hold mouse over without clicking on the unit or doodad.

Since this wasn't answered yet, using fade filters should solve this however you will likely lose all tooltips, not entirely sure because this isn't well tested yet.
