im trying to migrate some data from one map to another, and with the original WE it sucks... i can only keep 1 map open at a time, and when i change the unit name or race classification it takes freaking 9 seconds which will suck because i have to rename a bunch of units.

i thought going from a crappy single core AMD athlon 64 to an OC'ed i7 would have solved these problems but the slow issues remained.

also the import manager sucks in the original because i cant organize my imported files (im probably going to have around 50-100 when this big project is complete.) cant rename any of the imported files because that will cause replacement problems.

any suggestions?

Export the data and import it in the new map, its 50x faster than CnP unit by unit or ability by ability.

Alternativly increase the clock rate of your CPU, this will decrease the time per instrucrtion and as the number of instructions remains the same it will logically make it faster.

However doing what Squiggy said will optimize the object editor speed. For some reason that brush list at the bottom left of WE's main window takes ages to rebuilld.
