Hi y'all, so i searched but all i see is nowhere near what i want...

Q: is it possible to upgrade buildings that cost mana? (with default resources like gold & lumber ofcourse)

Through triggers, yes, but it won't be a very pretty solution.

You can also create/modify the UI now but it requires Jass/Lua knowledge, which is what I'd recommend if you want to do it properly.

Yes, pretty sure you can archive this using the Morph into Destroyer ability from the Obsidian Statue.
