Is it Possible To Give Guardian Shield any unit?

Hey my map is going pretty well im trying to figure out if its possible to make a passive GuardianShield that is always on without costing energy. cause im trying to make seige tanks in seige mode have guardian shield.

cause im making a cenematic raid scene.

if its not possible is it possible to make a passive guardian shield for buildings?

Instead of the guardian shield search area being run from a perodic effect, you make it run from a perodic buff behaviour. This behaviour you then give to the appropiate unit.
