Is it allowed to upload maps with same functionality(in triggers, units etc), but different terrain. (From the creator)(meaning only the terrain is changed)

Intuitively I would say you would need author's permission as long it's not a melee map/template or something similar.^^

Because usually triggers/units/imports and stuff defines the gameplay so you would kind of steal his map and just change cosmetics.

But just ask the author, maybe you're lucky.

No, I was talking if the author upload it.
The author of a map uploads map that has the same functionality of another, but with different terrain. Not a melee map.

Ah, ok. I think then there is no problmen in here. It just may be less useful for non-fans of he map...

But of course you just can make a series of a map if you enjoy playing it in different variations.

Maybe it's annoying for the mod who reviews the map and he thinks changes are not enough to approve the "same" map a second time. But in general, why not...

If it makes sense. For example if you make a new race, you may want to make multiple maps with the race. Or multiple maps to play Battletanks in. If it makes sense it should not be a problem.
