Increasing unit values without changing attributes

So, I'm working on a game that uses 8 different attributes, and some of them need to increase hero values like, max health, mana, damage, defense, and such. Is it possible to use triggers to change these values? or is it only possible by changing the heros 3 normal attributes.

(not after items or bonuses)
