The sound editor plays them perfectly, but ingame. No dice.

Edit: I'm talking about the sounds that override existing ones, Such as "Disenchant" that activates only when the spell is played, (Ie. Firing the gun).
Dude are you sure your volume is not 0% in wc3 when you test them? Cuz they work for me.Does a certain sound/music doesn't work or all wasn't working for you?
